NATIONAL FOOD AND NUTRITION COMMISSION
The National Food and Nutrition Commission is a statutory Board under the Ministry of Health, with the mandate of providing promotional, advisory and regulatory support to government on matters of food and nutrition. The Institution now invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of:
1.0 PROCUREMENT OFFICER X1 RE-ADVERTISED
1.1 JOB PURPOSE
To undertake timely procurement of goods, services and works in order to ensure smooth operations of the Commission.

Sourcing of goods and services |
Sourcing of goods and services of the right quantity at the right price, from the right service provider and at the right time. |

Vendor List |
Keeps an up-to date Vendor list, and ensures that the list is followed when sourcing for goods and services |

3 |
Quotations |
Ensure timely collection and analysis of quotations |
|
4 |
Local purchase orders (LPO) |
Ensures timely issuance of local purchase orders |
|
5 |
Certificate of completion |
Ensures certification of works done |
|
6 |
Advisory |
Advises Management on procurement procedures in line with the ZPPA guidelines |
|
7 |
Coordination |
Coordinate the evaluation of bids for various services |
|
8 |
Report writing |
Submits various activity reports to Supervisor |
1.3 EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Full Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing and Supplies or CIPS Level Five in Purchasing and Supplies
- Five years of relevant work experience in reputable organization
- Valid membership to the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply
1.4 KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Computer Literate
- Able to write analytical and technical reports
- Able to communicate effectively in English
- Able to maintain the suppliers database
1.5 OTHER SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES
Confidentiality, Negotiation skills, Honesty, Integrity, Interpersonal Skills, Trustworthy, Numeracy, attention to detail.
