Ingredients

2 ½ cups sliced mushrooms

2 medium sized chicken pieces

6 sliced ginger

2 onions, chopped

2Tbs lemon juice, 1Tbs vinegar

3 cloves of garlic

2Tbs cooking oil

10 cups water

Salt to taste

Method

  1. Remove all bones from the chicken and cut into small pieces
  2. Put the pieces in a big pot and bring to boil
  3. Fry the ginger and garlic in the oil
  4. Remove from the heat and fry the chicken pieces in the same oil
  5. Add the ginger and garlic mixture and chopped mushrooms to the fried chicken and mix well
  6. Add the 10 cups of water and boil simmer slowly on low heat for 1 hour
  7. Add chopped onion and lemon juice to the boiling pot
  8. Stir occasionally until a thin layer (or skin) appears at the top
  9. Serve hot with a piece of bread or as is
