Ingredients
2 ½ cups sliced mushrooms
2 medium sized chicken pieces
6 sliced ginger
2 onions, chopped
2Tbs lemon juice, 1Tbs vinegar
3 cloves of garlic
2Tbs cooking oil
10 cups water
Salt to taste
Method
- Remove all bones from the chicken and cut into small pieces
- Put the pieces in a big pot and bring to boil
- Fry the ginger and garlic in the oil
- Remove from the heat and fry the chicken pieces in the same oil
- Add the ginger and garlic mixture and chopped mushrooms to the fried chicken and mix well
- Add the 10 cups of water and boil simmer slowly on low heat for 1 hour
- Add chopped onion and lemon juice to the boiling pot
- Stir occasionally until a thin layer (or skin) appears at the top
- Serve hot with a piece of bread or as is
